ETHAN MBAPPE made his European debut with Paris Saint-Germain’s Under-19 team in their 5-3 win over Juventus.
The star’s 15-year-old brother Kylian was brought in in the 71st minute.
Ethan appeared in midfield and was mostly confined to the defense as PSG were looking to advance 5-1 thanks to goals from Warren Emery, Ismail Gharbi, Pascal Lemina and an Elias Hosni brace.
But things quickly went downhill for the French side as Luis Hasa, the Juventus U19 star, scored a free kick minutes after Ethan’s introduction, before Dean Heusen scored a penalty to make it 5-3.
PSG retained the lead and Ethan gained valuable experience while continuing his rapid rise through the PSG youth system.
Last summer, the teenager put pen to paper in a three-year deal that will see him stay at the Parc des Princes until at least 2024.
A few months later, the prodigy was called up to France’s under-16 team for the first time.
Ethan has great physical qualities and actually stands at a height of 5 feet 9, a few centimeters shorter than his brother Killian.
Speaking to RMC Sport, INF Clairefontaine director Jean-Claude Lafarge said of Ethan: “He’s a very elegant midfielder.
“He’s very loose, he’s very smart. He’s a player in the making, that’s for sure.”
