Paris Saint-Germain stars engaged in a group hug after French champions Kylian Mbappe fired up front after just five minutes.

But as Verratti tried to poke Mbappe onto his back, he picked up a stray elbow from teammate Presnel Kimpembe.

The defender accidentally fell on Verratti as he poked his nose while attacking Mbappe.

Italy international Verratti was thrown by the blow, put his hand to his nose and leaned on Kimpembe’s back in pain.

Fortunately for Verratti, he didn’t pick up any lasting damage from the unfortunate accident.

The 29-year-old was a fantastic midfielder as he helped PSG kick off their Champions League campaign with a win.

Mbappe added to his early attempt with another goal in 22 minutes before West McKinney headed a corner kick to put Juventus back in the ball.

But the Parisians kept defeating their Italian opponents 2-1.

The match saw Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos criticize Juventus man Leandro Paredes – a week after Paredes left the French club for Italy.

Verratti also made headlines last week when tunnel shots caught Lionel Messi peeking at the midfielder’s shorts.
